Lao Deaf and Hard Hearing people celebrated the international deaf day 2010

On the 22 September 2010 Lao Deaf and Hard of Hearing Unit celebrated the International Deaf Day at Deaf School- National Rehabilitation Center. More than hundred people, including deaf and hard of hearing people, their parents, representative from governments sectors, representative from INGOs were invited to the events.

The themes of this year is ' Empowering the Silent World improves Development for All'  this message aims to raise public awareness about the rights of deaf and hard of hearings people in Lao PDR and the important of Lao Sign Language in the development of deaf and hard of hearing people.
